This series was created using isolated landscape elements, tessellated in a circular and seamless pattern.
Each image can simultaneously be perceived as simple and complex. Viewed from a distance, the photos merely appear as patterns emerging from repeating shapes, yet upon closer examination greater details are revealed - inviting even deeper contemplation. I consider them to be mandalas, as they serve to connect the viewer to the natural world on an intimate level - with the potential for different levels of experience depending on each individual's observations at a given moment. |
